Damp Surveys Ltd FAQs

What is Damp Surveys Ltd's approach to fixing damp?

▶
Damp Surveys Ltd focuses on solving the root cause of damp by correctly identifying the source, such as leaks, excess vapour, hygroscopic salts, or rainwater, to ensure it does not return. They do this without injecting chemicals, which they state is often a misdiagnosis for rising damp treatment.

Why does Damp Surveys Ltd emphasise impartiality?

▶
Damp Surveys Ltd highlights its impartiality because many in the industry, including rising damp contractors and members of the PCA (Property Care Association), may profit from recommending chemical damp proofing. Damp Surveys Ltd aims to provide advice that is not influenced by the sale of such treatments.

How long does a damp survey with Damp Surveys Ltd typically take?

▶
A damp survey with Damp Surveys Ltd usually takes between 1 to 1.5 hours. Clients are asked to assist by obtaining data loggers beforehand to monitor atmospheric humidity, which is a key part of the survey process.
